Financial Support For Research into NA The Advocacy for Neuroacanthocytosis Patients is able to operate with virtually no administrative expense thanks to the support of John Grooms, a leading British charity that has helped disabled young adults achieve an independent, full life since it was established in 1866. Our annual report (provide link) gives the full story of last year’s progress. NA is so rare that pharmaceutical companies see little potential commercial value in supporting research. An important part of our campaign is to convince companies and large foundations to recognize the research into NA will be valuable to discoveries important for progress with treatments for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases. In the meantime families and friends of NA patients together with friendly foundations and companies have financed all of the progress we have made. Please help if you can. Sterling donations can be made with cheques payable to “John Grooms-CHAC account” should be sent to 32 Launceston Place, London W8 5RN. Donations made to the CHAC fund at John Grooms, supported by a simple signed statement that the donor is a UK tax payer, receive the benefit of GiftAid in the United Kingdom. For those who pay taxes in the UK and the US, cheques/checks payable to the “Anglo-American Charity Limited “ receive both UK and US tax benefits. See www.anglo-americancharity.org. Donations in Euros can be made directly to Ludwig-Maximilian’s Universitaet, Munich.
For donors of US Dollars please make checks payable to the “Neuroacanthocytosis Fund”. Donors of securities or when a certificate qualifying the gift as a 501©(3) charitable donation should contact us. Please send checks to us at:
All donations will be acknowledged with our thanks and donors will receive an annual report of our activities and finances during the year. |
